How to Get a D-U-N-S Number?
To find out if your organization has already been assigned a D-U-N-S number by D&B, you can check by visiting the D-U-N-S number application page. Fill out the form provided on the page and click the “Continue” button to verify whether you already have a D-U-N-S number.

If you do not have a D-U-N-S number, after clicking the ‘Continue‘ button, you will see a warning like ‘Your organization was not found,’ indicating that your organization does not have a D-U-N-S number.

If you wish, you can proceed to the application stage immediately by clicking ‘Submit‘ with the information you have entered.

You will know that your application has been processed when you see the notification shown in the image below.

On average, Apple will send the necessary information to the email address used during the inquiry within 3-4 weeks. You will receive an email similar to the one below, and you will be able to use your D-U-N-S number.

After obtaining your D-U-N-S number, you can proceed to the next step.

Once you have obtained your D-U-N-S number, you can create corporate developer accounts for Google Play and the Apple App Store and publish your applications.

Here’s what you need to do to create an Apple Developer Account:

First, go to the Apple Developer Program page from [here].

Click the Start Your Enrollment button on the page that opens.

On the next screen, you will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password, because creating an Apple Developer Account requires an Apple ID.

If you don’t have an Apple ID, click the “Don’t have an Apple ID? Create yours now.” button on the screen.

In this section, you will be asked to provide personal information such as your first name, last name, date of birth, and email address.

For the email address, make sure to use one that will never be deactivated, as all future communication will be sent to this email. After filling in the required information, click the Continue button.

Next, Apple will verify the information you provided. After entering the code you receive into the relevant fields, the Continue button will become active — click it to proceed.

In the following step, you will need to accept the Apple Developer Agreement. After reading the agreement, check the first box and click Submit.

If you’d like to receive the latest news for Apple Developers, you can also check the second box — but this option is optional, and you can proceed to the next step without selecting it.

When you click the Submit button, your Apple ID will be created. You can then proceed with creating your Developer Account. To create a Developer Account, your Apple ID must have two-factor authentication enabled. For this, you will need an Apple device. To learn how to set up two-factor authentication, click here.

If you already have two-factor authentication enabled or have just activated it, the next step is to choose your account type.
Go to https://developer.apple.com/enroll/ and sign in with your Apple ID.

At this stage, you’ll be asked whether you want to open an individual or organization account.
If you’re an individual user, you should select Individual.

If the account will be for a company or organization, please refer to our article titled;

“How to Open an Apple Developer Account for Organizations.”We strongly recommend creating an Organization Developer Account if you are a company.
If an app developed for a company is submitted under a personal account, Apple will not approve it.

After selecting Individual as your account type, click the Continue button.

Before reaching the payment screen, you will be asked to accept the Apple Developer Agreement. By checking the box, you confirm that you accept the agreement and that you are not below the legal age of majority.

Then, click the Continue button.

In the next step, you will be presented with a screen showing the annual fee and registration number required to join the Apple Developer Program. After verifying the information displayed, click the Purchase button.

At this step, for security purposes, you may be asked to enter your username and password again. After entering your details and proceeding, you will reach the screen where you are asked for your payment information.
Fill in the billing address and credit card details on the screen, then click the Review Your Order button.

In the final step, after reviewing everything, check the confirmation box and click the Place Order button. This will complete your payment, and your account will be pending approval.

During the approval process, Apple may ask you to fax some documents in order to verify certain information. If there are no issues with the information and documents you provided, your account will be approved, and you will receive an email confirmation.

When opening an organization developer account, you must meet certain requirements:

1. You need to have an Apple Account (Apple ID) with two-factor authentication enabled. You can learn how to create an Apple Account (Apple ID) by clicking here.

2. Secondly, you must have a D-U-N-S Number.

What is a D-U-N-S Number?

The D-U-N-S number is a unique nine-digit identifier assigned to each business by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and stored in their database. Apple compares the registered companies for an organization developer account with those in the D&B database. Therefore, if you are opening an iOS Organization Developer Account, you need to have this number.

Once you have obtained your D-U-N-S number, you can proceed to the next step.

3. Your organization must be a legal entity to enter into a contract with Apple. Apple does not accept DBAs (Doing Business As), fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches.

4. As the person registering your organization for the Apple Developer Program, you must have the legal authority to bind your organization to legal agreements. You should be the owner/founder of the organization, a member of the executive team, a senior project manager, or an employee who has been granted legal authority by a senior staff member.

5. Your organization’s website must be publicly available, and the domain name should be associated with your organization.

If you believe you meet all the requirements and have your D-U-N-S number, visit the Apple Developer page to register.

Click the Start Your Enrollment button on the screen that opens.

You will then be directed to the login screen. Here, you should log in using your Apple ID that has two-factor authentication enabled.

If you don’t have an Apple account, you can create one by clicking the Create Now button. After creating your Apple account, you can log in.

After logging in, you will need to select your account type. Since you are opening a corporate account, you should select the Company/Organization option. If you are opening an account on behalf of a government agency, select Government Organization. After selecting your account type, click the Continue button at the bottom right.

As you proceed, you will need to enter your Legal Entity Name and D-U-N-S number. After completing the security test, the Continue button will become active. Click the button to continue.

You will then be asked to accept the Apple agreement before reaching the payment screen. By checking the box, you will confirm that you accept the agreement and are above the legal age of majority. After that, click the Continue button.

In the next step, you will encounter a screen showing the annual fee and registration number required to join the Apple Developer Program. After verifying the information, click the Purchase button.

In this step, you may be asked to enter your username and password again for security purposes. After entering your details and proceeding, you will encounter a screen requesting your payment information. Fill in the billing address and credit card details on the screen, then click the Review Your Order button.

In the final step, after reviewing everything, check the confirmation box and click the Place Your Order button to complete the payment. Your account will then be waiting for approval.

During the approval process, Apple may ask you to fax certain documents for verification. If there are no issues with the information and documents you provided, your account will be created, and your membership approval will be sent to you via email.

In order to convert your account, you need to send a form to Apple. You can reach the form by clicking here.

If you’re not signed in with the account you want to convert, at this stage, you may be asked to sign in. Fill out the form after login.

First, you should select your country or territory from the Region section.

You should mark the Subject as Account Updates and Renewals.

To the message part;

“I want to convert my account type from Individual to Organization. My company does not currently have an active Organizational account.

Please refer to the information given below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the listed phone number. and you should give your information. You can find an example below for you to use.

Your message should be in English as following. 

“I would like to convert my account type from Individual to Company. My company currently does not hold an active Company membership.

Please refer to the information provided below. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the phone number listed. Thank you!”

Name: In this section, the name and surname of your CEO or the manager should be written.

Organization Name: The full name of your company or organization should be written in this field. (For example: Mobiroller Software IT Consultancy Industry and Trade Inc.) This name appears on the Apple App Store as your app’s vendor / developer name.

Account Type: In this section, you should write the type of account you want, such as: Company / Organization.

D-U-N-S® Number: You should write your D-U-N-S number in this section. You can get detailed information about the D-U-N-S number by clicking here.

Address: In this section, you should write the address of your company or organization. You should not use special characters.

Phone Number: In this section, you should write a phone number that Apple can reach you when needed.

Be sure to enter everything completely, then click the Send button.

Apple can call you within two weeks to verify your registration. Do not forget to apprise and inform the person who will meet before. Afterward, they can then send you an email with a form link that you need to fill in more information about your company or organization.
