You can search, download and share mobile applications using the App Gallery. In addition, App Gallery provides access to applications that do not require installation with its Quick App feature. Thus, it saves users for battery and capacity usage in mobile devices.

What is HMS?

HMS, namely Huawei Mobile Services, is an ecosystem in which Huawei creates its own mobile world. Restricted access to Google services after the events between America and China, Huawei developed its own mobile services, the HMS ecosystem. Having achieved great success with this ecosystem it has developed, Huawei is rapidly advancing its success with its own application store App Gallery.

No. Mobile developers do not need to pay any fees to use Huawei mobile services.

There is no negative situation affecting the end user in new generation Huawei devices. 10- How long does it take for an application to be reviewed and approved when publishing an application in App Gallery?

It takes an average of 2 to 3 days for an application to be reviewed, tested and approved before it is released. If approved, the application is published within that day. For the application that is not approved for publication and rejected, information is sent by sending an e-mail about why the developer is rejected. After the developer has made the necessary changes, the application can be published in the App Gallery when it is reviewed and approved again.

All developers must have a Huawei ID in order to operate in the Huawei App Gallery. In order to have a Huawei ID, the following membership procedures must be done.

If you have a HUAWEI ID, you can click Sign In to login to HUAWEI Developers.

Step-1: Enter the page here to complete the membership process. Click on the Sign up button in the upper right corner of the page that opens.

Step-2: You can sign up with your phone number or e-mail address and have a Huawei ID. The screen that opens is the registration screen with your e-mail address.

If you are registering with your e-mail address;

• Select your country in the Country / Region option,
• Write a valid e-mail address in the mail field,
• Click on the Obtain code button to fill in the email code field. Enter the code from the e-mail address you wrote above here,
• Enter your password to login to the Password field,
• Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field,
• You must enter your birthday in the Date of Birth field,

After filling in this information, click the Register button to complete the membership step.

At this step, we have completed the membership procedures. Now we will do the developer account opening process.

Step-3: Click the Console button on the top right of the screen that opens after clicking the Register button.

Step-4: You will be presented with two different options on the screen that will open. There are two different types of developer accounts, namely Individual and Enterprise. Here you can choose the option you want and follow the steps.

Step-5: When you select the Individual option, you should follow the steps below.

On this screen;

• Legal entity name in English: Name Surname is the field you need to write. You have been asked to write your name in English characters.
• State/Province: This is the field where you must enter your province.
• City/Town: It is the field where you need to enter your county.
• Address: You must enter your full address.
• Phone: You must enter a valid phone number.
• Email: You must enter a valid e-mail address.

• Identity Documents: In this section, you are given more than one option.
  ID Cart + Bank Document: It refers to your ID Card and Bank Document.
  Passport + Bank Document: It refers to your Passport and Bank Document.
  Other supporting documents + Bank Document: It refers to a legal document representing you and your Bank Document. Here you need to upload the images of the cards you have selected to the loading screen below.
• Upload Scans: This is where you need to upload the documents you have selected above. Here you have to upload the photos you took.
  Not: Your name and surname must be written on your bank card.
  Not: The image you upload can be in PNG, JEPG, JPG, GIF, BMP or PDF format. Its size should not exceed 10 MB.

  On this screen, it has been stated that your identity card and bank document will be used to verify your identity, and it has been stated that no money will be charged from your bank account.

• Send messages in: From here, you must select the mail language option that will be sent to you. There is no Turkish language option.

Step-6: After uploading the photos, the agreements you have to accept are listed at the bottom. You have to confirm the first two of these steps. The bottom Send me promotions option means that you can be contacted for advertising. If you don’t confirm, you cancel this option.

After these operations, click on the Submit button at the bottom.

Congratulations

If you have done all these steps in order, your authentication screen will appear. As indicated on the screen, the evaluation result will be sent to you by e-mail within 1 or 2 business days.

Step-1: To install your application, you must log in App Gallery Connect. Click here to login. You can log in with the e-mail and password you specified when opening a developer account.

Step-2: After logging in, click the My apps button on the screen that appears.

Step-3: Click on the New app button on the top right of the opened My apps page.

Step-4: You will see a screen where you can enter application information.

• Package type: This field should be selected as APK (Android app).
• Device: This place should be chosen as Mobile phone.
• App name: You must enter your application name.
• App category: Here you have to select your application type.
• Default language: You have to choose your language here.

Click the OK button after making the selections.

Step-5: We will give more detailed information about the application on this screen. No changes can be made in the app information section.

In the Compatibility section, you have to choose which devices you want your app to be used on. You can choose one or all of the phone (phone), tablet (tablet) and HUAWEI Watch (Huawei smart watch) options.

In the Localization section, you need to provide detailed information about the application for users to review.

• Language: Since you have made your language selection, this part will come with your choice.
• App name: Since you entered the application name in the previous step, the name will appear as written.
• Full description: In this section, you need to give detailed information about your application. You must use a maximum of 8000 characters. In this area, you can give information about the purpose, content and advantages of your application.

• Brief introduction: You should write a short description of your application, maximum 80 characters.
• New features: In this field, which is not mandatory, you can provide information about the new features of your application.
• Icon: You must upload your application logo from here. Your application logo must be at most 2 MB and must be in PGN or WEBP format. Application logo dimensions should be 216 x 216 px or 512 x 512 px.
• Screenshots and videos: It is the area where you can upload application screenshots, application promotional video and advertisement video for the promotion of your application. You can upload a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 screenshots. The screenshots you upload should be at most 5 MB and in PNG, JPEG, JPG and WEBP format.
• Categoration: This is the section where you need to choose a detailed category for your application. Check the Level-2 and Level-3 options respectively.

Step-6: After filling the category information, click the Save button on the top right of the screen to save it. Then click on the Draft button under the Version information heading in the left menu.

Step-7: In the Country / Region for release section, you need to select the locations where your application can be downloaded. You can choose a few or all of them.

Open testing field should be marked as No.

Step-8: The section where you will install the APK file of the application is the App version section. Click the Manage app packages button to upload your APK file.

Step-9: In the window that opens, click the Upload button to upload the APK. Click the + button on the screen that opens, select the APK file you have produced and downloaded to your computer and upload it.

Step-10: In the area after APK installation, you need to specify whether the application is paid or not.

If you mark the payment information as free, your application will be published free of charge.

In the In-app purchases section, you have been asked to mark the type of in-app purchases available for your app.

Step-11: You need to specify the age limit of your application in the Content rating section. Click the SET button.

In the window that opens, select the age limit that suits you and click the OK button.

Step-12: You need to enter the privacy statement for your application. You must enter the link to the privacy statement in this field.

Step-13: Copyright information and Review information sections are not mandatory fields. If you have done the procedures mentioned until this step, click on the Submit button on the upper right of the screen.

Congratulations

After this step, you have submitted your application to Huawei App Gallery for approval. After the necessary examinations are made by Huawei App Gallery, the evaluation result is sent to you via e-mail.

Note:

Before starting the update process, generate a new APK from the Mobiroller Panel and download the updated APK file to your computer. You can find detailed information about APK generation here.

Step-1: You must log in App Gallery Connect to update your application. Click here to login. You can log in with the e-mail and password you set when opening a developer account.

Step-2: After logging in, click the My apps button on the page that appears.

Step-3: After clicking the My apps button, you will see a list of the applications you have previously installed in AppGallery. Click on the application you want to update from here.

Step-4: When you click on the application you want to update from the application list, the page with the information of that application will open. Click the Version / Upgrade button on the left menu on this page.

Step-5: When you click the Version / Upgrade button, a new tab titled New version will appear in the same left menu. Click on the New version button here.

Step-6: After clicking the New version button, scroll down to the page that opens. Click on the Manage app packages button in the app version area.

Step-7: Click the Upload button on the page that opens.

Step-8: Click the + button in the window that opens on the screen and select the current APK file you have produced and downloaded to your computer and install it.

Step-9: After uploading the updated APK file, click on the Submit button on the upper right corner of the screen.

Step-10: After these operations, “Your app is submitted and pending review. You can cancel the review if there any changes in your release plan. ” expression will appear.

You have updated your application by doing the above-mentioned steps in order. The update application is generally evaluated within 2-3 working days and the result is notified to you by e-mail.
